Company History
Annie’s Healthcare Services was started as a franchise organisation back in 2004 and was registered as a limited company. In February 2011 the limited company was converted to be a Community Interest Company. This registered our organisation with special additional features and was created for the use of people who want to conduct a business for community benefit, and not for private advantage. This was achieved by a “community interest test” and “asset lock” which ensures our CIC is established for community purposes and the assets and profits are dedicated to these purposes. Registration had to be approved by the regulator who also continually monitor us and take enforcement if required. Since the date of incorporation we have continued to retain our status as a CIC and have had no name changes or group ownership.
Registered Provider, Manager & Team
The Registered Provider and Manager is Mrs Lesley Mana who has substantial experience in the management of care services. Mrs Mana is qualified to Level 5 in Health and Social Care management and leadership, and is responsible for our in house staff training. She has over 25 years experience in Health and Social Care.
Nickky Thomas is our finance and administrative officer who runs our invoicing and payroll system. It is a small dedicated team whose work ensures the smooth running of the business.
Quality Assurance
We have in place a Continuous Improvement policy and can demonstrate the improvements achieved by our service provision since 2004. Quality assurance is maintained by spot checks on carers, telephone audits and meetings with service users. We provide feedback on these activities to the CQC on a regular basis.
Regulatory
Our regulatory body is the Care Quality Commission and we were last inspected in July 2018. Our report is available on the CQC website www.cqc.org and we were compliant in all areas inspected, achieving a rating of ‘good’.
We have over thirty members of staff who go through induction and specialised Health and Social Care training to industry required levels. We are able to provide bilingual staff in languages such as, Hindi, Punjabi, Urdu, Tamil, Romanian, Lithuania, and Malayalam to name a few.
We ensure that there is a staff development and training programme within the business which is reviewed and updated quarterly and meets the workforce training targets with annual updates.
We currently provide care services to both Public and Private Sector clients and have been doing so for the last 14 years.
